12U Head Coach: MadIE Augusto
Madie Augusto is a 2022 graduate of Dartmouth College, where she excelled as a standout pitcher while earning degrees in Psychological Brain Sciences and Engineering. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Sport Management at the University of San Francisco. This past season, Madie guided the 10U NorCal Fusion to an outstanding 39-16-2 record, earning six championship titles and helping her players build confidence, skill, and a true competitive mindset. Madie is passionate about developing young athletes and is excited to bring her energy, expertise, and love for the game to this new team.
12U Assistant Coach: Maicie Levitt
Maicie Levitt was a shortstop at Cornell University, where she earned her degree in Economics in 2023. She completed her collegiate career as a shortstop at Georgetown University in 2024, earning a Master’s in Science and Management. A lifelong softball player with a deep love for the game, Maicie has competed at the Division I level and continues to stay connected to the sport through coaching. She is currently working at Morgan Stanley in wealth management in Menlo Park, supporting a team of financial advisors. This past summer, Maicie coached the 10U Fusion team and helped lead them through a successful and fun season focused on growth, teamwork, and passion for the game. She loves sharing her knowledge of the game and takes pride in instilling a high softball IQ in the girls she coaches.
12U Assistant Coach: Kama Kalenikini
Kama Kaleikini graduated from Dominican University in 2023 with a degree in Business and now works full-time as an accountant at a private wealth management firm. A former collegiate infielder, she played two seasons at Dominican after transferring from Diablo Valley College, where she also competed for two years. Kama brings her love for the game and passion for mentorship to the coaching world, aiming to help players grow not just on the field, but through the life lessons that softball has taught her.
16U Head Coach: Alfonso flores
Alfonso Flores, a Marin native, is a seasoned travel softball coach with years of experience. He began his coaching career in 2014 with the Novato Heat. Later on, he coached for All American Sports Academy as well as California Grapettes from 12U through 18U. During that time, he has brought his team to PGF Nationals seven times with two top 20 finishes and one top 10 finish. More impressively, Alfonso has coached girls who currently play at the collegiate level.
16U Assistant coach: Maya Weigel-Murphy
Maya Weigel-Murphy is a newly “retired” pitcher and recent graduate of Scripps College in Los Angeles. A Novato native, she began playing softball at age 5 and started travel ball at age 8 with the Heat. Her journey continued with the Tremors, Easton Elite, and the Cal Nuggets, where she was recruited to play at SF State. Maya later played at Santa Rosa Junior College before finishing her college career at Scripps. She’s excited to start her coaching journey with Fusion and looks forward to a fall season full of hard work, growth, and fun.
